Maximum Power Point Tracking Based on Improved Perturbation and Observation Algorithm

The Maximum Power Point Tracking(MPPT)technique is important for solar photovoltaic systems.On the basis of the simulation model of photovoltaic cell,the effect of temperature and the light intensity on the output characteristics of photovoltaic batteries are analyzed.For the drawbacks of perturbation and observation algorithm(PO) and incremental conductance(InCond)algorithm,an improved PO algorithm which can quickly achieve MPPT when light intensity change is proposed to cover both good dynamic performance and steady-state performance.At the same time,the simulation P-V curves of MPPT after three algorithm are compared,the simulation results show that the improved PO algorithm which can both obtain track accuracy and response speed has good dynamic performance and steady performance.
