Establishment of High-Performance Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry for the Test of Microcystins

The purpose of this study was to establish a test method for the detection of microcystins(MC-RR) by high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry(HPLC-MS). In this experiment, electrospray ionization(ESI) was used for multi response monitoring(MRM) in positive ion scanning mode, and the optimal detection conditions of MC-RR were found by optimizing related parameters of chromatography and mass spectrometry. The experimental results showed that the minimum detection limit of MC-RR is 5 ng/L(noise-signal ratio S/N =3), and the minimum quantitative limit is 10 ng/L(noise-signal ratio S/N = 10). The linear relationship of the working curve of standard series solution(0.01~40 μg/L) is R2 0.999. This test method of MC-RR is much convenient,rapid, sensitive, accurate, specific and less interfered. The detection limit of this method is in conformity with the requirements for the determination of MC-RR in the sanitary standard of drinking water in China.
