Effect of Different Force-Functions and Initial Shock Pressure on Blade Response

Yin Jing Li Qinghong (Department of Power Engineering)  
The effect of two kinds of load factors of bird impact on blade response is analysed in this paper. They are the force-functions and the initial shock pressure. The finite element method is used to compute the nonlinear transient response of the cantilever plate by means of simulating a real blade with a rectangular cantilever plate and simulating bird impact loads with shock loads. The conclusions obtained in this paper may provide references for the development of the bird impact load model.
