APPLICATIONS OF CARBON-13 NMR SPECTROSCOPY IN LIGNIN CHEMISTRY

Applications of C-13 NMR spectroscopy in lignin chemistry are described with examples given. Emphases are put on the quantitative analysis of functional groups and the determination of interunit linkages in various lignins. A brief account of solid-state C-13 NMR spectroscopic studies of lignins is also given.
