A Research on a Remote Sensing Drought Monitoring Model in the East Part of Weibei in Shaanxi Province

This paper establishes a remote sensing drought monitoring model for the investigated region based on the data of NOAA/AVHRR in 1991 and the meteorological observation data by applying a stepwise regression method.The data are obtained on clear days.The model has been used to monitor the spring drought in 2002,and results show that not only the spatial pattern but also the the degree of drought accord with the observations of soil relative humidity.
