Exploration of the Source of the Theory of Ancient Chinese Literary Spirit

WANG Cai-jing(Neijiang Vocational and Technical College,Neijiang,Sichuan 641002, China)
The Book of Mencius proposes the doctrine of "discovering the erroneous utterances and raising noble spirit",which pertains to the cultivation of moral quality similar to the creation and formation of art and literature works."Literary spirit" put forward by Cao Pi makes a study of the co-relation between the writer's moral quality and his individual cultivation and style of their works.Han Yu demanded that spirit should take precedence over writing, and this spirit is the imposing manner of his article and the Confucian spirit in his chest."Literary spirit" advocated by Su Zhe includes individual internal cultivation and accumulated experiences, which form the significant fountainheads for the writers.
