On the Historical Subject of the Political Novels in Late Qing Dynasty

SONG Shi-liang(Chinese Department,Bohai University,Jinzhou,Liaoning,121023,China)
In late Qing Dynasty, people with far sight felt angry at the imperialist invasion and disappointed at the corruption and disability of Qing Government.Abolishment of the weak system and implementation of politic innovation had become the consensus of the time.Guided by the western democratic theories, people attacked bitterly the oppression and discrimination of Man rulers against Han nationality and narrated the atrocity and disability of Qing Dynasty in history and in real life. And they raised doubt about the Government's legitimacy.Meanwhile,in culture and national emotions, they showed great sentimental attachment to the Han tradition of a very long history, and respect and memory of great historical heroes of their nationality,in an attempt to reconstruct the historical narration around Han Nationality.
