For the problem of low-temperature waste heat recovery in heat and power plant, designs a waste heat recovery system in a renovation project of cooling and heating source for a civil building in Tianjin. This system takes the steam operated double-effect lithium bromide-water absorption type heat pump as the cooling and heating source for air conditioner.Heating is supplied in winter with the recovery of waste heat from the 45 ℃ circulating water in the desulfurizing tower.Cooling is supplied in summer with the 20℃ boiler feedwater as the cooling water. The boiler feedwater is heated with the recovery of waste heat from the circulating water in the desulfurizing tower in transition season. Then the year-round operation of the heat pump unit can be achieved.Simulates the energy consumption of the original HVAC system and the heat recovery system with EnergyPlus. The results show that the heat recovery system can bring about economic and environmental benefits.
