Chen Jiru's Cultural Character and Its Origin

Chen Jiru's cultural character took shape on the base of great variety of society in late Ming dynasty. The ideological trend and living environment at that time made him a person of unique character with flexible philosophy of life, deep concern for the country, strict self-discipline in morality, and detached attitude of circumspection.
