Study on Solidification Heat Transfer Properties of Phase-Change Cool-Storage Plate Heat Exchanger

This paper presents a model describing solidification properties of the ice-storage rectangular capsule in phase-change cool-storage heat exchangers and a simple method based on the heat resistance method to solve the solidification heat transfer problems. Using this method, the heat exchanger effectiveness of the phase-change cool-storage heat exchanger, the position of the phase change interface in the ice storage plate, and the outlet temperature of the coolant were calculated. The heat transfer properties of the phase-change cool-storage plate heat exchanger were discussed.
