The Function of the Gas Recirculation of Boilers and Its Effect on Thermal Calculation

The function of gas recirculation and its effect on the heat transfer calculation of heating surfaces of a boiler are discussed in this paper. The Standard Thermal Calculation Method of Boiler Unit (USSR, 1973 edition) is analyzed thoroughly and a thermal calculation method of boiler unit with gas recirculation is put forward in detail. At the end of this paper, a thermal calculation example is given. The results show that the heat transferred to the radiative heating surface of a boiler decreases and the heat transferred to the convective heating surface increases when gas recirculation is applied.
