Economic analysis of the ice cool-storage air-conditioning system

In recent years, the peak-to-valley difference in municipal electric power in China has increased daily. One of the main reasons for that is the popular use of air-conditioning systems of different type, and application of ice cool-storage air-conditioning systems is an effective solution for this problem. In this paper, a model based on the lifetime-average overall cost per unit refrigerating capacity was established for the economic analysis of the ice cool-storage air-conditioning system. Using this model an analysis of an existing ice cool-storage system was carried out, and the results were compared with those of a conventional air-conditioning system.
