Research on the aerodynamic characteristics in the back-end ductwork of a large-capacity boiler

Gas dampers equipped in the back-end ductwork of a large-capacity boiler are efficient for temperature regulation of reheat steam.However,the regulation characteristics of gas dampers and their influence on the aerodynamic characteristics in the back-end ductwork have not yet been thoroughly investigated to date.According to the construction of a 600 MW super-critical boiler,an experimental setup for the aerodynamic characteristics in the back-end ductwork of the boiler was established using the theory of similarity.Flow distibutions in the back-end ductworks were acquired by experiments.On the basis of experiment results,the relationship of the gas-damper opening and the flow distribution was obtained by calculating the flow distributions in the back-end ductworks at different boiler loads.The result acquired can give a reference to the design and steam-temperature regulation of large-capacity boilers.
