Environmental Behaviors Including Hydrolysis,Photolysis and Volatility of Dithianon

This paper described the investigation of environment fate behaviors including volatility, hydrolysis and photolysis of the fungicide dithianon under laboratory conditions. The experimental results showed that the t1/2 of hydrolysis were 42.5 d[pH 5, (25±1) °C], 84.5 h[pH 7, (25±1) °C], 19.3 h[pH 5, (50±1) °C] and 85.6 min[pH 7, (50±1) °C] and it quickly hydrolyzed in buffer solution of pH 9. The t1/2 of photolysis was 52.1 min(light power 4313 lx, UV 92.3 μw/cm2). No volatility was found in the air, water and the surface of soil(clay,YunNan). According to "Chemical Pesticide Environmental Safety Evaluation Test Guideline", dithianon was easier and easiest to hydrolyze, very easy to photolyze in pour water and hard to volatilize in the air, water and the surface of soil(clay,Yunnan).
