Synergistic Interaction of Mixtures of Boscalid and Enestroburin against Botrytis cinerea

[Aims] This study aims to clarify the synergistic effect of the mixture of boscalid and enestroburin against Botrytis cinerea. [Methods] The virulence of the mixtures at different ratios against B. cinerea was examined with the mycelial growth rate method. The toxicity of the optimal mixture to the B. cinerea was determined by spore germination, in vitro leaf method and the field trial was implemented. [Results] The mixture of boscalid and enestroburin(6 ∶1) had the most significant synergistic action and also showed synergistic effect on the spore germination of B. cinerea, the colony expansion of other strains, the protection and treatment of gray mould. The control effect of the optimal mixture against gray mould exceeded 80% at 250-350 g a.i./ha. [Conclusions] The mixture of boscalid and enestroburin(6:1) had an outstanding control effect on grey mould and it could be used to control grey mould.
