Impact of PPARγ activation on fracture healing of diabetes mellitus rabbit

Objective To discuss the impact of PPARγ activation on fracture healing of diabetes mellitus rabbit.Methods A total of 18 cases of regular grade healthy male rabbits were selected in Zhejiang University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Animal Experimental Research Centerin in June 2016, which were divided into control group, diabetes group and PPARγ activated group,6 cases in each group. Diabetes group and PPARγ activated group were established animal model of hyperglycemia,all groups were established animal model of fracture. The FPG,TG,BMP-2,TGF-β_1,PDGF,bFGF levels and body mass were compared among three groups. Results Before treatment,no significant difference in body mass was found among three groups( P 0. 05); the FPG,TG levels of diabetes group and PPARγ activated group were higher than control group( P 0. 05),no significant differences in FPG,TG levels was found between the diabetes group and PPARγ activated group( P 0. 05). After treatment,the diabetes group and PPARγ activated group of body mass were lower than control group,FPG、TG levels were higher than control group( P 0. 05); the PPARγ activated group of body mass were lower than diabetes group,FPG、TG levels were higher than diabetes group( P 0. 05). The diabetes group of BMP-2,TGF-β_1,bFGF levels were lower than control group after treatment of 1,2,3 weeks,PDGF level was lower than control group after treatment of 1week( P 0. 05); the PPARγ activated group of bFGF level was lower than diabetes group after treatment of 1,2,3 weeks,BMP-2,TGF-β_1,PDGF levels were lower than diabetes group after treatment of 2,3 weeks( P 0. 05). Conclusion PPARγ activation can cause bone loss of diabetic patients,it's not good for fracture healing.
