Sedimentary Facies Study of the Member 1 of Qingshuihe Formation(Cretaceous),Yongjin Area,Junggar Basin

Based on well log data and observation of core and thin sections,sedimentary facies of Member1 of Qingshuihe Formation,the authors studied in Yongjin area,Junggar Basin.Referring to the regional geological background,detailed analysis has been conducted as following:mudstone color,lithology,petrology,grain-size characteristics as well as sedimentary tectonics.It comes to a conclusion that it is beach bar not delta or braided delta developed in Yongjin area.Sedimentary characteristics of the beach bar include as follows.The mudstone color is gray or dark gray,reflecting reductive water environment with thin single sand body thickness and high sand-shale ratio.The sandstone reservoir has higher composition maturity,and the results of identifying grain size parameters indicate shallow sea(lake)sedimentary environment,with two leaping components in grain size distribution and lacking rolling components.Ripple mark,ripple cross-lamination as well as various cross bedding are especially well developed and widely distributed in the sandstone of Member 1of Qingshuihe Formation built by wave,showing rich intrastratal erosive structures.Seismic attribute and inversion reflect bad connectivity of sand bodies.Three types of sedimentary facies have been recognized in the beach bar in Yongjin area,including sandbank,sand beach,and rip-built sand body.Controlled by ancient landform and the hydrodynamic condition,sand body is poorly cross connected and is always wrapped by mud,showing lenticular shape in vertical distribution.On the basis of detailed analysis of sedimentary characteristics,the article described the distribution of sand body and sedimentary environment showing that beach bar sand body is parallel to the coast line with unconnected pattern,the beach bar depositional model is established to locate in a gentle hump beside delta environment.
