Manifestation of malaria in pregnancy,and its prevention & treatment as well as obstetric management

The incidence of malaria in author's peacekeeping region is very high.Pregnant women constitute the main adult risk group for malaria. There is a wealth of evidence showing that the risk of malaria(both infection and clinical disease) is higher and the symptoms are more severe in pregnant than in non-pregnant women.Malaria is a threat both to themselves and to their babies so the prevention and treatment of malaria during pregnancy is very important.Malaria in pregnancy(MIP) is a Priority Area in Roll Back Malaria strategy.So this paper reviewes following aspects as its influence on pregenant women and their babies,manifestation,prevention treatment,as well as obstetric managemenl,etc,in detal.
