Research Progress of Mammalian Soluble Epoxide Hydrolase

Mammalian soluble epoxide hydrolase(sEH) is a homodimeric enzyme in which the N-terminal domain exerts phosphatase activity and the C-terminal domain displays hydrolase activity.sEH detoxifies a large variety of xenobiotic-derived epoxides,participate in many physiological regulation processes,and plays an important role in the anti-hypertensive and hormonal regulation.This paper made an overview of the molecular structure,catalytic mechanism and functions of sEH.
