Full-load non-linear buckling analysis for tower crane

Due to towering trussing structure of the tower crane,operating collapse failure arising from buckling instability is very common to occur.Aiming at the current situation where most of researches focus on only the tower body instability under single load action,with consideration of combined actions of multiple loads such as hoisting weight borne by the crane,overturning moment,bob-weight vertical load,wind load,centrifugal force,steering resistance and horizontal inertial force,etc.,the buckling upper limit load,trussing force condition,and stability convergence map are figured out with the boom at the maximum working range through the finite element analysis for eigenvalue buckling and nonlinear buckling,hence to provide reference for structural design of the crane body.
