Effect of sea cucumber extract TBL-12 on the proliferation, migration,invasion and apoptosis of gastric cancer HGC-27 cells

Objective To explore the effect of TBL-12 on proliferation,migration,invasion and apoptosis of gastric cellline HGC-27 in vitro. Methods Cell counting kit-8(CCK-8)was used to study the effect of TBL-12 on proliferation of HGC-27 cells. The effects of TBL-12 on migration and invasion of HGC-27 cell were detected by Wound scratch assay andTranswell experiment. Flow cytometry analysis was used to detect the apoptosis rate of HGC-27 induced by TBL-12.Results TBL-12 could significantly inhibit the proliferation of HGC-27 cell(P0.05). Compared with control group,themigration and invasion abilities of HGC-27 cell were inhibited remarkably by TBL-12. TBL-12 could also induce apoptosis ofHGC-27 cell in a dose depending manner,increasing from 2.42% to 4.10%,4.55%,5.24% and 7.22%(P0.05).Conclusions TBL-12 showed anti-tumor effects and could significantly inhibit proliferation,migration and invasion of HGC-27 cells and induce apoptosis in vitro. And it may have potential clinical application.
