Growth Kinetics for Strontium Formate Dihydrate Crystals

The determination of the growth rates of the{110}and{011}facesof strontium formate dihydrate(SFD)crystals at 308.15K is reported in thispaper.The activation energies in different stages of growth have been calcu-lated on the basis of the relation between the growth rate(R)and supersa-turation(σ).It is found that the growth mechanism of SFD crystals agreeswith the BCF surface diffusion model as applied to the aqueous solutiongrowth.
