Growth of 4-Amino-4'-Nitrodiphenyl Sulfide (ANDS) Crystal and Its Properties

In this paper the growth and propeties for new organic nonlinear optical crystal, 4-amino-4'-nitrodiphenyl sulfide (ANDS) are reported. Transparent single crystals Up to 15×2×1.5mm~3 in size have been successfullY grown by solution cooling method using ethanol and n-butanol mixture solution as a solvent, and single crystal fibers up to 0.5mm in diameter and 50mm in length have been obtained by sublimation. The influences of the structure and solvents on the crystal growth were discussed We also find that the good crystalline of ANDS in the mixture solvent of ethylacetate and hexane.
