Relationship between Defects and Structural Factors of Aminomethane(TAM)

Tris Hydroxymethyl Aminomethane (TAM) crystal is a kind of organic molecular type crystals with active hydrogens and such structural shape as layer By using the PAT the parameters of the PAS of crystal samples along three axial orientations have been determinated, three factors effecting at the shapes of the positron annihilation lifetime spectra of the crystal samples: the states of defects related With crystal structural factars, rough situations at the surfaces of crystal samples, and the conditions of the heat-treatments, have been found. Thus, the experimetial samples must be cut at a bulk crystal and ground carefully. In the meantime, it has been explained that through apropos heat-treating, the quality of the TAM crystal can he improved.
