Effects of Different Contents of Ti_3Al on the Grain Growth and Properties of TiC/(Ti_3Al+ZrO_2) Composite Ceramic

TiC/(Ti_3Al+ZrO_2) composites were prepared by mechanical alloying and hot press sintering.The effects of different contents of Ti_3Al(10,15,20,25wt%) added into TiC matrix on the sintering process and mechanical properties were studied.The results show that with the increase of Ti_3Al the composites have higher density and better mechanical properties;but when the contents exceed a certain quantity,the mechanical properties will deteriorate.
