Preparation and Luminescent Properties of CaMoO_4:Tb~(3+) Luminescent Materials

Solid solution luminescent materials CaMoO4∶ Tb3 +were prepared by combustion method at 700-850 ℃. The structure, particle size of powder and luminescent properties with the reaction temperature was studied. The optimization of process conditions of materials were as follows: the best combustion temperature is 800 ℃ and the burning time is 5 min; the ratio of Ca2 +to Tb3 +is optimized as about 1 ∶ 0. 05. When excited with 295 nm,emission spectrum of CaMoO4∶ Tb3 +showed green fluorescence at 544 nm corresponding to the5D4-7F5transition of Tb3 +. The splitting of the 544 nm emission peak is due to the perturbation of coordination filed for Tb3 +lead to Stark splitting.
