Preparation and Visible Light Photocatalytic Performance of BiFeO_3-Bi_(24)Fe_2O_(39) Composite

BiFeO3-Bi24Fe2O39 composite catalysts were prepared by sol-gel method using Fe(NO3)3·9H2O and Bi(NO3)3·5H2O as raw material,tartrate as complexing agent,polyethylene glycol 6000 as dispersant. The sample's structure were characterized by XRD,FT-IR,UV-vis,PL spectrum,TG-DSC,etc. Visible light photocatalytic activity of BiFeO3-Bi24Fe2O39 was evaluated by methylene blue solution as the target compounds. The results show that composite catalyst calcinated at 500 ℃ for 2 h have good thermal stability,the strongest fluorescence intensity and the narrowest forbidden band width,and the degradation efficiency of MB is near 93. 11% under 500 W long arc xenon lamp for 6 h.
