Tibological Characteristics of H68/QCr0.5 Rubbing Pairs under Electric Current with Different Surface Roughness

The friction and wear behavior of H68/QCr0.5 rubbing pairs under electric current with different surface roughness was investigated with an HST-100 high speed and carry current friction and wear tester.The results show that there is a best value of surface roughness,in which the mass wear rate is the smallest,current-carrying efficiency and current-carrying stability are the best.With the reduction of surface roughness,the friction coefficient rises,when the surface roughness reduces to a certain value,the friction coefficient tends to be stable.With the reduction of surface roughness,the mass wear rate decreases at first and then increases.Current leads to the increase of wear mass loss,especially when the current density increases.
