An Investigation on Friction and Wear Properties of GCr15/45~# Steel Friction Pair Influenced by Different Frequency under Gear Oil Lubrication

A series of tests on the fretting wear of GCr15/45# steel friction pair were carried out under gear oil lubrication on the DELTALAB-NENE DS20 tester.The effect of different frequency on friction and wear properties of GCr15/45# steel friction pair were investigated.Analyses of worn surfaces and wear debris were carried out using scanning electron microscope(SEM).The results show that the friction coefficient and the area of wear scars have a tendency of decreasing with the increasing of frequency.On wear mechanism,the fatigue wear with wear sheets delaminating is dominant.
