Research on Extreme Pressure and Anti-wear Property of Bismuth Containing Compounds and the Synergistic Effect of Bismuth and Sulfur

The extreme pressure and antiwear property of the bismuth naphthenate,bismuth petroleum sulfonate,bismuth dialkyl dithiophosphate and bismuth molybdenum mithiocarbamate were studied.The synergistic effect of the bismuth and sulfur were discussed.The results show that bismuth-containing additives possess good extreme pressure and antiwear performance and exhibit good synergism with sulphur-containing additive.The compound that contains element bismuth and element sulphur shows similar synergistic effect.
