Numerical Analysis of Lubricating Properties of Sector Thrust Padof Ship Water-lubricated Thrust Bearing

The lubricating properties of sector-shaped thrust pad of ship water-lubricated thrust bearing were studied by numerical analysis method.Three-dimensional distribution of the water film thickness and pressure,the displacement field and temperature field of thrust pad were computed.The result shows that there is a larger temperature difference in different locations in thrust bearing,the most thickness and the largest pressure of water film,the largest deformation and the highest temperature of thrust pad are all located in the area of circumferential direction of the thrust pad outlet.
