Surface Nano-composite Electroplating of 16MnR Steel Weldment and Anti-wet H_2S Stress Corrosion Study

16MnR steel weldment surface was treated with Ni-nano-TiO2 composite electroplating.The impact of bath temperature, cathode current density, stirring speed,nano-TiO2 concentration on electroplating process of the composite was studied by orthogonal experimental methods,and the optimum conditions of the Ni-nanometer TiO2 composite plating was selected.The morphology,structure and composition of composite coating were analyzed by metallurgical microscope,scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and spectrometer (EDS).The results of constant load tensile experiments show that the anticorrosion performance of wet H2S stress of general electroplating is the 1.9 times of that of no plating,nanometer composite electroplating is the 4.1 times of that of no plating.The introduction of nano-materials in the plating makes metal surface nanocrystallization,which improves the anticorrosion performance of wet H2S stress of 16MnR steel weldment.
