The Simulation and Analyses on Biomimetic Gecko Seta

In order to study the adhesion of the gecko's foot,contact relation between biomimetic gecko seta structure and the smooth and rough surface was modeled.Relationship between the gecko adhesive force and the geometry and material properties was simulated by MATLAB.The simulation results show that the adhesive force produced by biomimetic gecko seta array structure increases with the increase of elastic modulus and seta length,and with the decrease of surface roughness and radius of seta.
