Advance in Study on Split Mechanical Seal Technique

The split mechanical seal technique was initially researched for easy to assemble sealing ring,auxiliary seal ring and other component in rotationaxis.The state of development of split mechanical seal technique last 20 years was reviewed.And it is discovered that the split mechanical seals can not been widely used or only been used in condition of low parameters as yet because of lack of study on transmutation and control law of seal faces and joint faces in conditions of certain temperature and pressure,tightness analysis for joint faces and security in reliability of design and operation.It is pointed out that direction of study on split mechanical seals in theory,experiment and application for a time in future.
