Analysis on variation characteristics and influential factors of runoff and sediment of Liaohe River Basin

Influenced by climate change and human activity in recent several decades,the runoff and sediment condition in the Liaohe River Basin has changed greatly. In order to explore the change causes,this paper analyzes the variation of measured runoff and sediment transport volume of the main stations on the Liaohe River,also the basin precipitation and human activity impact are studied etc. The analysis results show that the runoff and sediment volume have a alternative wet- dry variation trend,but decrease in generally,especially for sediment; the basin precipitation yield has important influence on runoff and sediment,the downward order of influential degree is as follow: sediment retaining by water conservancy works,soil- water conservation measures,interval sediment settling,water and sediment diversion etc.
