Impact of structural plane occurrence on dynamic response of rock slope

Numerical simulation with software of 3DEC was conducted to study the influence of structural plane occurrence on dynamic responses of rock slopes. The maximum accelerations of every monitoring points at the slope were recorded,then the contour figure of amplification coefficient of peak ground acceleration( PGA) was calculated. It was shown that the distribution characteristic of contour of the amplification coefficient was remarkably affected by structural plane occurrence. Compared with the slope of anti- dip structural plane,the seismic dynamic response of the slope of down- dip structural plane is stronger,and its dynamic stability problem is more prominent.
