Monitoring data analysis for water diversion system of a hydropower station in initial operation period

Four hydro- units are installed in a hydropower station whose water diversion system is characterized as one penstock for one unit,and an incorporated roof- inclined tail water tunnel is designed for every two units. A comprehensive safety monitoring system for the water diversion system was arranged for mastering its operation status. According to the monitoring data and safety inspection condition,the operation status of the structures such as seepage pressure,deformation and stress were analyzed. The conclusions demonstrate that the stability conditions of water intake slope,water diversion tunnel and tail water tunnel are guaranteed,which provide basis for grasping the operation status of the structures in the initial period.
