SURFACE AREA ANDPORE DEVELOPMENT DURING LIGNITE ACTIVATION

The lignite was carbonized and activated simutaneously in the fluidized bed re-actor with internal diameter of 86 mm,The influences of gas velocity and water-vapor con-tent on surface area and pore development have been investigated. The results show that thegas velocity and water-vapor content significantly affect the surface area and pore volumedistribution,However,the influence degree decreases after the removal of mineral matter incoal.The influence of carbonization process on activation has been observed as well.
