Research on stone powder and silica fume on cement mortar fluidity and strength

The replacement of stone powder and silica fume and double-mixture of stone powder and silica fume on the performance of cement mortar fluidity and strength was studied in this paper. The results show that stone powder has a lower activity which has a little effect on the strength of mortar when the dosage of stone powder is less than 5%; silica fume can reduces mortar fluidity, but it can dramatically improve the strength of the cement mortar, the optimal content is 10%.The stone powder mixed with silica fume will exist a complementary effect on mortar fluidity and strength that stone powder can improve fluidity and silica fume can improve the problem of insufficient of later strength. The optimal content of stone power is 15%, the silica fume is 8%.
