Analysis on Full-Graded and Wet-Screened Tests for Jinping I Arch Dam Concrete

Mechanical tests of dam concrete are still from wet-screened tests for small-scaled samples.But wet-screened experiments are often picked out large aggregates above 40 mm.Wet-screened results must be different from concrete's full-graded tests.So wet-screened tests not exactly reflect mechanical performance of dam's concrete.Based on demand of concrete's design strength of Jinping I Arch Dam,full-graded tests from uniaxial compression,tension,limit tension and elastic modular were completed.It shows that large aggregates concrete suffers from size's and wet-screened effect,large aggregates concrete's strength and deformation are both less than those from wet-screened tests at 28 days age.
