Analysis of Seepage and Stability of the Expansive Soil Reservoir Slope When Water Level Changes

The change of river water level fluctuation had a great effect on stability of the unsaturated expansive soil's reservoir slope with cracks.That was a process from unsaturated to saturated in the groundwater seepage field in reservoir slope,caused by the change of river water level.Based on the unsaturated seepage theory,the transient change of seepage was simulated,and the pore water pressure was also analyzed during the process of river water level changes.At the same time,the stability of reservoir slope was analyzed under the conditions of the changed water level and crack depth change.The results showed that the effect on interior seepage of reservoir slope caused by water level fluctuation has an evident diversity,the stability of reservoir slope has the trend of reduction and the effect of the surface cracks on the stability was less than the water level change after the process of water level change.
