Influence of Reserviors in Main Streem or the Upper Yellow River on the Reach Within Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

Using routine information and multitime phase satellite remote sensing images, the paper analysed the scour and silting evolution and plane form variation of river bed in Inner Mongolia reach after the reserviors in main streem of the upper Yellow River were put to use. After the Liujiaxia Reservior was set up,the channel in inner Mongolia region was washed slightly and river bed swing was not obvious; in the initial utilization stage of Longyangxia Reservior,the water flow and sediment content in the reach varied greatly, the river bed silted and swang severely.After Longyangxia Reservior is put to normal use, with the combined regulation 'Of the two reserviors, the river bed in the reach will have the trend of siltation,the swing status of river bed will not change obviously. Therefore, the paper proposed prevention measures such as building self-regulation reservior in Haibowan.
