Social Evaluation on Lower River Bed Formation Through Irrigating Sedimentation in Lower Reaches of Yellow River

Shi Chunxian (Institute of Reconnaissance Planning, Design & Research, Yellow River Conservancy Commission, Zhengzhou, 450003)  
The project of forming lower river bed through irrigating sedimentation combining with drawing water from Yellow River will bring about positive and adverse effects on economics,society,environment and resource utilization,and others in the area along the project and irrigation region. To demonstrate the overall effectiveness of the project in society,ecomomics,environmentand resource utilization,the paper evaluated at social point to the project by using fuzzle mathmatics strait fieal analysis. The result shows that the social indices of the project and the currently using sediment controlling plan in Yellow River are 0. 607 and 0. 521respectively. These demonstrate that the formation of lower river bed through irrigating sedimentation combinning with drawing water from Yellow River for irrigation will bring about positive effects to surrounding society and environments.
