Reducing Wealth Gap and Achieving Common Prosperity:A Tough War in Reform

The reform gives rise to a series of deep-seated conflicts and social problems,including wealth disparity.The wealth gap between the rich and the poor,if too wide,will dampen people's en-thusiasm for social production and development,and cause negative effects over the healthy development of society,thus undermining social stability.Hence,striking a proper balance between fairness and efficiency has become a difficulty in the course of China's modernization,which requires the Party and the government to take effective measures to adjust the distribution of social wealth.
