An Investigation of the 1000-Year History of Western Maritime Civilization

Qu Jinliang
The Western marine activities before modern times were confined to the Mediterranean rims;soon after they "rushed out of Mediterranean," they began an atrocious period of history to invade and colonize countries around the world. The "game rules" they set in the realms of politics and economy still remain the same and influence the world. But it has been clearly shown that their mode of "development" is unsustainable. One of the "factors" that can save the world is Chinese civilization, especially its maritime civilization, which is highly inclusive, takes sharing world peace as its mission, and keeps moving forward without changing its essential objectives over thousands of years.
