Research on the Policies and Mechanisms for Migrant Workers Integrating into Cities

Under the background of integrated urban and rural development, this article focuses on making rural migrant workers become urban citizens and urbanizing the benefits of basic public services and people's rights; takes mechanism analysis(bargaining mechanism, cost sharing mechanism, and the mechanism of social participation) as the key; mainly discusses policy issues(the household registration policy, employment policy, social security policy, education policy, housing policy, and election policy); primarily aims to solve problems about the employment of migrant workers, public services, household registration, and children's education, affordable housing, and election; reviews the relevant mechanisms and policies concerning the migrant workers integrating into the urban society; and conducts an in-depth analysis of the obstacles that keep migrant workers from staying in the city, and on the basis of all of this, provides policy suggestions for promoting migrant workers to integrate into the urban society.
