Invasion and metastasis is main cause of death in malignant tumours. It is correlation that malignant tumor cells of invasion to lymphatic vessels and initial lymphatics with lymphatic metastasis. The light and transmissional electron microscopy (TEM) are employed in the study. The Observation showed that lymphatic endothelial cell of open junctions are significantly increased, when there are invasion of malignant tumor cell in peripherial initial lymphatics of colon cancer. Cancer cells enter initial lymphatic by open junction. In the same time, endothelial cells are dissolved and destroyed. In this paper the cytoplasmic vesicles, mitochondria and rough endoplasmic reticulum were analysed by image analysis. The study will provide morphological basis for metastastatic mechanism research of malignant tumor.
