The relationship between laryngeal lymphatics and the lymphatics of surrounding organs was studied. Methods: Twenty two fresh dead fetuses and babies were studied by indirect lymphatics injection technique(30% Prussian blue) and observed under light microscope. Result: There were lymphatic anastomosis between lingual surface of the epiglotts and root of the tongue, the, The infraglottic region and cervical portion of the trachea. Conclusions: Because the internal and external lymphatics of larynx were anastomized each other, when cancer invades lingual surface of the epiglottis, the arytenoid region or the infraglottic region, therefore the root of the tongue, the pyriform sinux or the cervical portion of the trachea should be excised respectively.
