Hu Xingyu Lan Shunqing Department of Anatomy, Luzhou Medical College, Luzhou 646000
In order to find a correlation between “Bo Ren”, Liao and Ancient Yue through comparison with bones of Han people and other nationalities, the hip bone, femur and bones of the leg for 54 items from seven adult “Bo Ren” were measured, and from which 21 indices were figured out. The stature were calculated from the length of lower limb bone: 2 of the 4 males were being short and the other 2 were sub-moderate, and 2 of the 3 females being moderate and the other 1 super-moderate. Most of the measurements showed significant sexual difference, but the indices of the bone features of both sexes were almost the same, except for male′s being more sturdy and more prominant in crest for muscle. Compared with Han people, “Bo Ren” had apparently smaller angle of femoral torsion, valued negative in 5 of 7 cases and with significant difference between that of right and left. The later seemingly correlated with regular riding in peculiar position.
