Objective To observe a distribution and neuropeptide property of the mast cells in mouse lymph nodes. Methods Using toluidine blue stains and immunohistochemical ABC methods. Results The results indicated that the mast cells in mouse lymph nodes were round or oval, mainly distribued in lymphatic sinuses. The mast cells showed SS-immunoreactivity by comparing to near toluidine blue stain sections, cytoplasm was full of immunoreactire grains, but the nuclei were negative. Conclusion The mast cells were SS-immunoreactivity in mouse lymph nodes. The neuropeptides may play an important regulating role in immunological function via neuro-endorine-immunologic circuitry.
